Welcome the the Serious4Social blog, where I focus on all things “social”. My goal is to share what I’ve learned about Social Selling, Social Recruiting and Social Engagement to drive the conversation, share learnings and stimulate new ideas. Periodically, I’ll also dive into the world of personal branding, particularly as it relates to millennials, teens and tweens (and their parents).
If you’re a sales person, Social Selling is here to stay. You either need to jump in or recognize that those with Social Selling skills will have an edge on you very soon (if they don’t already!).
If you are a recruiter (or business leader who should always be looking for that next great hire), you need to understand what Social Recruiting is and how you can put it to work for your business. When done correctly, you can quickly expand your candidate pool, shorten time to hire and attract hard-to-find candidates.
Everyone should be a brand ambassador. You should always be looking for ways to leverage social engagement to amplify your brand.
And for those millennials, teens and tweens out there, I will be sharing tips (and often, reminders) about the impact social media can have on your personal brand. Like it or not, it’s a reality, so let’s hope we are always learning, thinking and choosing wisely what we saw, show and do.
